Hi guys..the grad students had a Halloween party last week. I bought a costume that originally was a 'victorian burlesque vampiress'..but I turned it into a 'spanish seniorita' outfit...Haha..I didn't like the hat that came with the costume, so that's why the change. I went over to a friend's house to get ready..needed someone to tie the corset like waist band and Joyce wasn't home. I love dressing up, and I had fun styling my hair & figuring out the make-up for this outfit. Remind me again, why am I an engineer?? ;p
The party was awesome..I loved seeing everyone dressed up. And we danced a lot all night..twice to the song 'Gangnam style'..haha..hrmm I am an awful dancer, my body is not at all flexible and is very stiff. But yeah, I think I'm getting better at it. Haha...will never ever dance in front of anyone in Malaysia though..way too weird.
And guess what? One of my friends (Justin) dressed up as the guy in Gangnam Style. And when the song played he rushed to the middle of the dance floor and danced to the whole song. It was freaking hilarious because in all the other parties before this he said he doesn't dance and refused to join us dancing. And that night he conquered the dance floor! Haha...thats him in the pic below...
After the party, everyone decided to go to a frat house. Me? Nope..was hungry so I gathered up 2 more people to go to EBA's (everything but anchovies) instead. We went in the restaurant and the waiter smiled at us and said 'You guys from a Halloween party?'..My reply 'Yup we're the sober ones'..haha and it was pretty true everyone else was drunk & they wanted to get more drinks hence the frat party. And yeah I've pretty much have established myself as the lamest person in the program: I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I like going to the library to study. Sorry I am no fun, haha.
It was a fun night. Hope you guys had a great Halloween too~
