'Deer' Me~

Hi everyone! I just woke up & it looks like a cold day today. It started snowing on Monday, & I noticed the drastic change in temperature each day. All though I might freeze to death, but I can't wait to see the view when everything is covered in snow!=)

Here's a few random things that happened this week.

Saw a deer on my way to the laundry room, I was so freaked out at first because it was dark (around 9pm) and  saw this huge figure running in front of me. I seriously thought it was a monster (uhhh...come on izza..how old are you? 6?). But my fear instantly dissappeared when I saw that it was just a sweet deer. I tried to walk towards him/her but the deer ran away, & he (ok lets assume its a he) headed to the main road in front of my house. I was so worried he'd get hit while crossing, so I waited for 10 mins & finally a car stopped and the deer safely crossed the road, & went into the trees. Here he is waiting for the traffic to clear, do you see him?

Owh yeah remember my post about the Concorde trip? I tried to imitate the yummy pancakes I ate there, but failed miserably because I burnt one of my pancakes and it wasn't as fluffy as I wanted it to be. My attempt:

What it should have looked like:

See the difference? Haha.

Also, I have an interview from a dream company (Microsoft) that I would love to get into for my internship. Had a webinar with some of the employees yesterday and they were so helpful in explaining the roles of a project manager, as that is what I applied for. I'm thinking of moving into that field, from engineer to a product/project manager in the high-tech industry. So guys, wish me luck!=)

Grad School Halloween Party~

Hi guys..the grad students had a Halloween party last week. I bought a costume that originally was a 'victorian burlesque vampiress'..but I turned it into a 'spanish seniorita' outfit...Haha..I didn't like the hat that came with the costume, so that's why the change. I went over to a friend's house to get ready..needed someone to tie the corset like waist band and Joyce wasn't home. I love dressing up, and I had fun styling my hair & figuring out the make-up for this outfit. Remind me again, why am I an engineer?? ;p

The party was awesome..I loved seeing everyone dressed up. And we danced a lot all night..twice to the song 'Gangnam style'..haha..hrmm I am an awful dancer, my body is not at all flexible and is very stiff. But yeah, I think I'm getting better at it. Haha...will never ever dance in front of anyone in Malaysia though..way too weird.

And guess what? One of my friends (Justin) dressed up as the guy in Gangnam Style. And when the song played he rushed to the middle of the dance floor and danced to the whole song. It was freaking hilarious because in all the other parties before this he said he doesn't dance and refused to join us dancing. And that night he conquered the dance floor! Haha...thats him in the pic below...

After the party, everyone decided to go to a frat house. Me? Nope..was hungry so I gathered up 2 more people to go to EBA's (everything but anchovies) instead. We went in the restaurant and the waiter smiled at us and said 'You guys from a Halloween party?'..My reply 'Yup we're the sober ones'..haha and it was pretty true everyone else was drunk & they wanted to get more drinks hence the frat party. And yeah I've pretty much have established myself as the lamest person in the program: I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I like going to the library to study. Sorry I am no fun, haha.

It was a fun night. Hope you guys had a great Halloween too~

Hi people..its the weekend!!~ but sad to say..that does not make a difference to me..It's heading towards the end of the term, so assignments and projects that are due keep pilling up.

It's weird how I missed the student life when I was working as an engineer. I missed that as a student we don't have to worry much about pleasing our bosses, about getting the job done right and on time. Now as a student, I miss not having the weekends to myself. If you work, once you get home you can relax and focus on other things. So previously, on the weekends my calender was filled with dates with my boyfriend and friends, or with handling LippyLito. Now it's always about homework & studying, no matter where I go or what day in the week it is.

But it's fine. I'm happy, and I know that in life there are always trade-offs and you can't have everything you want. Owh yeah, fall is almost over. It's going to be winter any time. Took some pictures to capture the fall beauty. Enjoy & take care everyone~
